We appreciate that sometimes ‘it’s okay not be okay’, and there may be occasions when you want to talk to someone if you are not feeling quite yourself.

Our Ambassador, Richard, has been trained in helping you when you need someone to listen. It goes without saying that our entire team are there for you whenever you need them, but it’s nice to know who you can turn to when needed.

We would always encourage you to speak to us first. However, if you’re not ready to speak to us, there are a number of organisations that can help:

Childline is yours – a free, private and confidential service where you can talk about anything. You can speak to a counsellor every day from 7:30am – 3:30am.

Samaritans is a helpline service which is available 24/7 and is about working with people to create a safe space where they can talk about what is happening, how they’re feeling and help them to find their own way forward.

The Students Against Depression story starts with the sad loss of two bright young men to suicide. Their families invested in this project to reach out to other people suffering the effects of depression and suicidal thinking.

We’re the UK’s leading charity fighting for children and young people’s mental health.

We believe that every young person has a right to access free, high quality advice and counselling. Working with our members, we promote the Youth Access YIACS (Youth Information, Advice and Counselling) model as part of local services for young people everywhere.
